Does Lee Van Cleef play the same character in For A Few Dollars More and The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly?
I've always wondered if Col. Mortimer and Angel Eyes were supposed to be the same character, acting as a foil for Clint Eastwood in the Leone "Dollars" trilogy.
They seem like completely different people though, regardless of being played by the same actor.
Does anyone have insight into this?
I really like the old spaghetti westerns.
Van Cleef was a different character in those two movies. Angel Eyes was evil, pure and simple. The Colonel at least had some warm and fuzzy for his fellow man.
