Hong Kong timetable for 1 day?
This is my timetable i have drawn up from the info i have received from several sources. Please tell me if this is doable or help me change it around.
My flight arrives in HK at 5:30 AM. It departs at 10 PM same day. And since everything seems to open only around 10-11 anyways, I'll start my trip around 9:30 -10 am. Travel time is included.
10 am - 2 pm = Go see Giant Buddha and Po Lin monastery (3 hrs). Come back to Tung Chung. Travel time (1 hrs)
2 pm - 5 pm = Go to central. Visit Victoria Peak and/or Man Mo temple (2 hrs). Travel time (1 hr)
5 pm - 7:30 = Visit Kowloon areas, TST and Mong Kok and dinner (2hrs). Travel (1/2 hrs)
7:30 pm - 8pm = travel from kowloon to Airport.
I am not too interested in shopping but would like to see the markets and side shops. Please tell me if this is a good schedule. Thx
i guess it's really 2 rush 4 u. even thou if u dun mind taxi all around. but we hv serious traffic jam all the time.
so morning time, started fr 10am...uphill to the Buddha is fine. i guess u can just spend 2 hrs there as not so big around. so finish b4 12 noon. downhill takes 30 mins. 1230pm u arv back to Tung Chung. can lunch there as the Citygate Mall there next to the MTR terminal hv a hugh nice food court on their 3/F.
after lunch / assume 1:30pm... take MTR fr Tung Chung towards Central (30 mins)... 2pm arvd there. taxi to Man Mo Temple (10-15 mins) / assume u finish at 3pm.... up the Peak (??). taxi fr Man Mo --> Peak approx. 30 mins. so... 3:30pm u arv the Peak... photo & wander aro there......for an hour maybe? then take the cabel car downhill... 5pm u arv at the Admiralty Peak Tram Terminal downhill. at the Peak Tram Terminal --> taxi (10 mins) to the Star Ferry outside IFC Mall... around 5:30-40pm.... u wil be in TST (dun taxi after 5pm / traffic jam started as off duty time). but if u dun interested in shopping / better dun waste ur time in TST as it's purely 4 shoppers. maybe u should headed to Mongkok directly for the hawkers. they r over few blocks. the Ladies Market....
so assume 5:40pm u arv TST / taxi at the pier (they hv a taxi stand).... to Mongkok. aro 20-25 mins. just tell the driver to Ladies Market. u seldom find a place like this in ur country.
so... 6:15pm tops u wil be in Mongkok rite? wander aro at the Ladies Market / snacks on the street / photo....so n so. when finished, taxi to Kowloon Station (15mins) & catch an airport express train rite back into the HKIA. approx. 20 mins ride on the train.
