Ive tried googling him. I think he is a fashion designer or something to do with perfume.
Jean Patou (Paris, 1880-1936) was a French fashion designer. In Normandy, France, opened his couture house in 1919 after serving in World War I. He is known to combat display flapper by extending and re-introduce the sport skirts for women and is considered the inventor of the knitted bathing suits and tennis skirts. It is also the first designer to popularize the cardigan, move towards natural and convenient fashion. Jean Patou find a necktie designer in the 1920s. He uses women's clothing material for bonding and they displayed in department stores in addition to women's perfume counter. In America, three of the four bonds that are purchased by women. Designer tie style is still prominent amongst contemporary fashion designers, such as Louis Feraud, Timothy Everest, Duchamp and Paul Smith Patou's clothes are marketed mostly to wealthy American woman. When the stock market fell, however, so did the market for luxury apparel. House of Patou survived through its perfumes, which remain popular today. The most famous of Patou perfume is "Joy" scent of flowers; the other is the "Most High," which combine and musky tones of flowers. The world's second best-selling scent (the first is Chanel No. 5), Joy created by Henri Alméras for Patou at the height of the Great Depression (1935) for clients Patou's former who can no longer buy haute couture clothes. Patou died in 1936. His sister and her husband, Madeleine and Raymond Barbas, continued Houses Patou, which remains a family-owned company. Other designers have been associated with this house are Jean Kerléo and Karl Lagerfeld.
