child proofing tips/ microfiber furniure?
I am about to move into my own place as a single mom with my 9month old son(long story but it's a good thing) I figure it's best to child proof as soon as I move in. I am also buying all new furniture in the medium price range. I guess here are my two questions
1. What are some good tips for child proofing
2. What are good furniture recomendations and has anyone used microfiber (feels like suede but it is not)

I have a microfiber set and I love it! Nothing stains that stuff, not even ink! Anything can be washed right off with water and a bit of dish soap, when it dries there is no stain! If you have pets though, you will have to vacuume on a regular basis because their hair sticks to it.
As for baby proofing, remember to get latches for all cupboards and move any harmful stuff to a high shelf. Latch for the toilet (they love the toilet for some reason!) baby gate if you have steps or stairs, and keep the doors closed to any rooms you don't want your little one to wander into.
